Santini products are designed to meet the needs of professional cyclists at the highest level of their sport, helping them compete in all weather conditions. We choose technologies and materials that provide you with maximum performance in the saddle. To ensure a long life for your Santini garments, each item should be handled in accordance with the following care instructions.
1. How to care for Santini garments:
- Clothes should ideally be washed after each outing or at least stored in a well-ventilated room. Clothes retain their properties if they are washed immediately after use. By washing items shortly after use, the occurrence of bacteria that can deteriorate the fabric is significantly reduced.
- Clothes should not be stored in places with high humidity or poor ventilation. (Plastic bags, sports bags, backpacks, etc.)
- When not in use, garments should not be exposed to direct sunlight for long periods of time.
2. How to wash your Santini garment:
- Before washing your Santini garment, turn it inside out (with the inside seams exposed).
- Make sure to close all zippers and Velcro.
- Wash your Santini clothes separately from the rest of your laundry.
- When hand washing your Santini garments, use lukewarm water with a delicate laundry detergent.
- When washing your Santini garments in the washing machine, make sure to use a cycle with a maximum temperature of 30°C. It is also recommended if possible to use a washing bag.
- - Do not use fabric softeners or bleach-based products.
- Use a light spin cycle.
- When hanging your Santini garment to dry, avoid direct sunlight if possible.p>
- When drying it in a dryer, be sure to use the lowest heat setting.
- Do not iron your Santini clothes.
- We recommend following this washing and care guide for all types of Santini garments, including accessories.
3. How to care for garments with a waterproof fabric treatment:
- All waterproof materials are treated with state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly treatments without the use of fluorine.
- The highly secure water-repellent treatment (PFOA-free) is based on specific polymers that are highly branched and provide optimum water-repellent characteristics. The treatment prevents the outer layer from becoming saturated to allow the fabric to perform its job of water and moisture repellent management.
- The useful life of the water resistance treatment varies depending on how the garment is maintained and washed. The effectiveness of the treatment is guaranteed for up to 30 to 50 washes.
- We recommend washing your Santini garments following the same instructions above. Fabric softeners will completely degrade the waterproofing.
- The treatment of the fabric for water resistance must be occasionally repeated to maintain its native qualities.
