MATHIAS GUILLEMETTE

 

 

Aged 22, Mathias already has a proven track record in cycling. He obtained a third Canadian crown in a row at the Madison race of the Canadian Track Championships in early 2024, as well as a second place in the one-kilometer time trial. He also stood out among others by winning gold in the team pursuit, silver in the points race and gold in the Madison during the 2023 Pan American Games. Likewise, during the 2023 world championships he obtained a sixth place in the team pursuit as well as in the points race. He also distinguished himself during the 2022 UCI Track Champions League by finishing in fifth place after obtaining the leader's jersey during this series. In 2023, he finished in tenth place. He also obtained several other titles such as those of Quebec Champion on track and on the road, Canadian Vice-champion at the 2022 omnium, winner of the Coupe du Québec on the road, and several other excellent results.

 

In addition to his numerous performances, he has received several recent recognitions including "Outstanding male athlete of the year 2023 in track cycling" from the FQSC, "Outstanding male athlete of international level" at the Gala Sport-Hommage Mauricie Desjardins of 2023 and 2024, that of "outstanding male athlete of the year in track cycling" of the 2022 Quebec Cycling Merit of the Fédération québécoise des sports cyclists (FQSC) as well as "international athlete of the months of October and November 2022" of the FQSC. In addition, he received the “Sports Achievement/Elite Athlete” award as part of the Soirée Sport- Hommage Desjardins Mauricie in 2022.   

 

Mathias also stands out for his values ​​of excellence, respect, integrity, passion and pleasure. His simplicity, his intelligence on the track and his constant search for efficiency characterize him.

EMY SAVARD

 

 

Emy Savard is 20 years old and competes in track sprints. This is a passion for her. And its results impress; silver medal in team sprint as well as keirin at the 2024 Canadian championships, bronze medal at the 2023 Pan American Games in team sprint; 3-time gold medalist at the 2021 Canadian Junior Championships. At the 2023 Canadian Championships, she achieved gold in the team sprint.

 

Emy was recently chosen as a member of the "RBC Training Ground" which supports athletes towards the Olympic games. Emy wants to become a member of the national team in order to one day participate in the Olympic Games. She relies on her great rigor in the gym and on the track in order to improve her performances and be able to live her Olympic dream. She constantly attends training camps around the world. And she has several international sporting events on her agenda. She is persistent, motivated and passionate.

 GABRIEL SEGUIN

 

 

 

Only 17 years old, Gabriel already has great achievements including two Quebec champion titles in 2022 and 2023. He was the best young person by finishing eighth during the last Canadian championships in the time trial. Gabriel says he is ready and aspires to international levels. He is preparing to cross new horizons by participating in races in Europe this year, harboring high ambitions for the Quebec championships, the Canadian championships and even the world championships. His only aspiration: to stand out.


Every moment of his life is marked by a deep immersion in the world of cycling, his passion being omnipresent from morning to evening. His enthusiasm pushes him to tirelessly share his love for cycling, never missing an opportunity to discuss this world that fascinates him so much. In reality, it is much more than a simple passion, it is an ardent devotion. 


In his journey, Gabriel made the resolute choice to transform this vibrant passion into a meaningful career. His unfailing determination is reflected in his total commitment to making this dream come true, where each pedal stroke becomes a step towards achieving a professional journey.

ANTOINE JOLICOEUR DESROCHES

 

 

Antoine Jolicoeur Desroches is a professional triathlete and ultra marathon runner. Aged 30, he regularly obtains excellent results and is among the best swimmers in his discipline. He won his first ultra marathon race in his first attempt in 2020. 

 

He notably obtained first places in the Canadaman in 2022, the Mont Mégantic Marathon in 2022 as well as the 80km Harricana trail in 2020. In addition, he obtained several top 5s as a triathlete as well as a 28th place at the World Championships 70.3 of 2017. 

 

For his next season, he wants to continue Ironman races and ultra races and do gravel bike races. 

 

In addition to his career as a triathlete, he is a coach and is completing a doctorate in Physical Education. In addition, he is the author of the book "Becoming a Triathlete - exercises - training - mental preparation - nutrition" published by Éditions de L'Homme.

LAUREN BABINEAU

 

 

Lauren Babineau is a passionate, tenacious athlete and full-time, award-winning account executive. She is based on the west coast of Canada in Victoria, which she now calls home, British Columbia, for the past 8 years. Lauren's journey includes sport, work and community. She has been competing in triathlons for 10 years. Moving from being an age group athlete to the elite level under the Triathlon Canada Federation, then as a professional under the Ironman/PTO umbrella. She also worked as a guide to help a Paralympic athlete qualify for the Tokyo Olympics. Lauren's energy and enthusiasm are contagious and carry over into her daily sporting activities. But don't let her bubbly personality fool you, once the gun goes off she poses a threat on major starting lines. As well as cycling up to 500km a week, Lauren also enjoys weight training, hiking, trail running and trail running (but the most fun is pre-training with her English spaniel Kirby).
